Not too long ago I mentioned I was excited to see where Lizzo will go into 2019. After watching ‘Juice’, I’m sure it would be somewhere good. The music video is as satisfying as the song lyrics with the opening beats reminding me a little of ‘Girls Want to Have Fun’ by Cyndi Lauper. Of course, there is a classic workout scene with brightly colored leotards and legwarmers, because it would not be 80/90s inspired enough without them. There is so much body positivity in the lyrics that come through in video it’s wonderful. This isn’t anything new. Most of her songs have to do with body positivity. The color palette here is perfect. Coachella is in for a treat. Overall, ‘Juice’ is fresh, catchy, and addictive.
